As believers, we have been given the promise of God’s indwelling presence. Before he died, Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.” (John 14:23). However, we often lose touch with this loving presence within us. In light of the twists and turns of life, we need companions to walk with us on our journey. A spiritual director is one such companion who helps you pay attention to and respond to the presence of God in your life. This deep, compassionate care for another is at the heart of spiritual direction.

Nancy Keery
Over 25 years ago Nancy began to take the inner journey into a deeper experience of Christ. During this time she discovered the wisdom and contemplative path of devotional writers and saints from past centuries. She also found the treasure of spiritual direction–having a spiritual director to accompany her and help her discern God’s presence and leading in her life. Over time she recognized her own call to become a spiritual director and help others get in touch with the “streams of living water” flowing within them.
Nancy leads Ancient Streams, a ministry which offers opportunities for deepening one’s relationship to God through contemplative practices. She has a MaTS from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, has spent several years as a missionary in E. Africa, and is a graduate of Sustainable Faith School of Spiritual Direction. She and her husband of 40 years have four adult children and have recently become grandparents. She enjoys reading, being in creation hiking or cross country skiing and spending time with her family and friends.
Nancy offers individual spiritual direction and accompaniment in the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises in person in Kelowna, BC or online via Zoom.
