As believers, we have been given the promise of God’s indwelling presence. Before he died, Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.” (John 14:23). However, we often lose touch with this loving presence within us. In light of the twists and turns of life, we need companions to walk with us on our journey. A spiritual director is one such companion who helps you pay attention to and respond to the presence of God in your life.
